Professor Jesus Simal-Gandara, A Leading Figure in Nutrition and Food Science, Joins Algerian Journal of Engineering and Technology as Associate Editor"

We are delighted to announce that Professor Jesus Simal-Gandara has joined the editorial board of the Algerian Journal of Engineering and Technology as an associate editor. Professor Simal-Gandara is a highly cited and productive researcher, with extensive experience in nutrition and food science.
Professor Simal-Gandara completed his pharmacy degree and PhD at the University of Santiago de Compostela, where he was awarded the 1st Spanish Award of Completion of Pharmacy and the PhD Prize. He is currently a full professor at the Faculty of Food Science and Technology at the University of Vigo in Spain. He also leads a research group of excellence at NW Spain and is the head of the Department of Analytical Chemistry and Food Science at the University of Vigo.
Professor Simal-Gandara's research group specializes in chromatographic separations and molecular biology and proteomics, investigating the distribution of agricultural and environmental organic chemical contaminants in the food production chain, improving the sensory and functional quality of food, with an eye on the food chain globally, integrating environment, agriculture and food with nutrition and public health issues.
He has published extensively in international journals, directed 15 doctoral theses, and participated in many competitive research projects. He has also performed research stays at prestigious institutions around the world.
As an editor for the Algerian Journal of Engineering and Technology, Professor Simal-Gandara will bring his extensive experience in analytical chemistry, food science, animal science, soil science, environmental science, and agricultural science to bear on the manuscripts we receive. We are confident that his expertise will contribute greatly to the success of the journal, and we warmly welcome him to our team.
